How it works in four steps
Austral works in a partnership model alongside the trustee, attorney or owner, who stays in control of what is sold.
Step 1: Intro call
A short conversation to understand the company, the situation and the timeline.
Step 2: Inventory and free estimate
Austral maps the systems that hold saleable data assets. You complete a few short forms and receive a clear estimate at no cost.
Step 3: Preservation and privacy review
Records are preserved in storage the owner or trustee controls. A specialist will contact you to run the privacy review, and the owner or trustee decides how information is anonymized and approves exactly what is shared.
Step 4: Agreement and payment
A license agreement with a US-based buyer, court approval where required, and payment.
Why work with Austral
No fees to the estate or the business
Austral handles the deal end to end and is compensated by the buyer side. The estate or business pays nothing.
Privacy review before any sale
Personal and sensitive information is reviewed and removed before any sale. Austral will make sure that review happens, and the owner or trustee stays in control of what is sold.
US-based, US-regulated buyers only
Buyers are US-based AI labs, US public companies and US-regulated AI businesses that Austral trusts. The specific buyer depends on the assets.
Typical value range
Typical licenses range from $35K to $350K depending on company size and record types.
These are estimates, not guarantees. Value scales mainly with headcount and the depth of the records.
